Globe Life operates through its wholly-owned subsidiaries that provide life insurance, annuity, and health insurance products. American Income Division, Liberty National Division, and Family Heritage Division market to individuals and worksites through in-person and virtual platforms.
Globe Life also provides adult and juvenile insurance products to customers through the internet, direct mail, call center, and insert media channels.
United American Insurance Company markets Medicare Supplement policies and limited benefit supplemental health policies to individuals and employer groups.
Globe Life insurance agents are independent contractors. This allows agents to be their own boss and receive training and marketing support.

First, second, and final interview
Prospective Globe Life agents typically have from two to three interviews. The first interview is a preliminary interview which may be conducted by phone or a video meeting. It’s a chance to talk briefly with an agent recruiter and set up a second interview if both parties are interested.
The second interview is in person or a virtual meeting and more in length.
The final interview may be a group interview where the candidate learns about the Company, the commission structure, and the training involved, and bonuses and incentives. It is more in-depth and educational regarding what being an agent at Globe Life involves.
Interview Process
It’s common for a person to go through the interview process before being contracted as an insurance agent. You want to understand what your earning potential is, what commission and incentives the company offers, whether there is a career track, and the training involved before studying and taking an insurance licensing exam.
The following are the five typical steps to becoming a Globe Life insurance agent.
- Candidate goes through an interview process (typically 2-3 interviews). If the candidate’s interviews are successful, he or she will begin to be coached by the agent for steps to acquire a state license.
- The candidate begins pre-licensing coursework (if the state requires it) and practice exams (these are usually self-paced).
- The candidate takes an insurance licensing exam in their resident state and possibly in other states where they want to sell insurance. If they pass, they submit proof of a producer insurance license to the specific Globe Life subsidiary they are contracting with.
- Once licensed and contracted with a Globe Life subsidiary, the new agent begins classroom and field training. Depending on the agency the training period can vary from seven days upwards to 30+ days.
- Once released from training, the agent begins producing and writing business. Leadership development and additional training are typically available to agents throughout their career track.
