Role Overview:

Could you be our next Sustainability Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Sustainability Analyst to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting sustainability strategy development, conduct research and analyze data, and provide reporting and disclosure support. This role will report to the Sustainability Manager and support the further development and implementation of the Company’s sustainability program. The Sustainability Analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional partners across the enterprise to support the achievement of ESG - Environmental, Social, Governance / sustainability initiatives for Globe Life. 

 

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Support the Company’s sustainability program and related strategic initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across the enterprise, including HR, Facilities, Investor Relations, Investments, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Corporate Governance and others, to share information and data pertaining to ESG metrics.
  • Support the development of workflows and systems that ensure operational reliability, accountability, and clear feedback for high-priority ESG initiatives.
  • Conduct research on ESG best practices, including research into the sustainability programs of peer companies.
  • Stay informed of ESG trends and make suggestions for potential improvements for the Company.
  • Understand and adapt to changing regulations surrounding ESG-related disclosures and policies in the U.S., Canada and New Zealand (SEC, NAIC, etc.).
  • Assist with the Company’s ESG reporting process to support the annual sustainability report.
  • Support the Company’s compliance with ESG standards and frameworks, including SASB and TCFD.
  • Contribute to the tracking of ESG metrics and data across the enterprise.

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate studies are a plus. 
  • 0-2 years relevant experience in ESG, corporate responsibility or corporate sustainability is a plus. 
  • 1+ years of related work experience in a corporate environment is required.  
  • Experience supporting an ESG/sustainability program is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of financial disclosures and/or ESG reporting desired.  
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks (i.e., SASB, TCFD) desired. 
  • Must have a strong business acumen. 
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written). 
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills. 
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passionate about sustainability and environmental stewardship.
  • Technical skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office (including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills), knowledge of the Workiva platform a plus.

Savings and Investment Plan (401K) - Eligible employees may begin participating in the plan on the first day of employment.

Pension Plan - Eligible employees who complete one year of service with the Company become participants in the Pension.* (Not available to Cleveland Employees)

Medical - Benefits are available to all eligible employees and qualified dependents the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Dental** and Vision - Eligible employees and qualified dependents are able to enroll the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
