Role Overview:

Could you be our next Director of Client Services? Globe Life is looking for a Director of Client Services to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and directing the team(s) of Account Management and Implementation Services to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful project outcomes. The Director plays a critical role in driving client satisfaction, fostering strong, and supporting business growth initiatives. They are responsible for mentoring and developing all team members, the Director will provide leadership and direction for all aspects of client facing roles.

 

This is a remote / work from home position.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Mentor and develop his/her team and direct them in finding creative solutions to both client and internal challenges, foster knowledge-sharing across all disciplines internally to ensure collaborative and informed work.
  • Assist the Operations team with designing the training and implementation of all internal and external tools.
  • Ensure that managers and supervisors are fully trained on all aspects of planning and audience reporting; will require use of research tools, as well as excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Develop and implement client service policies and procedures to ensure quality service as well as correct alignment with third party administrator capabilities.
  • Work with management team to bring creative solutions to prospective clients and to build the business of current clients
  • Support the account management and implementation team in large projects included but not limited to RFPs, client renewals, issue resolution, and transitions (product and platform).
  • Respond to customer enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track customer service metrics and provide regular reports to management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Operational direction of department daily.
  • Establishes key elements of operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the department. Focus is on short-to mid-term operational plans.
  • Develop relationships with local, regional, and national brokers to protect and grow existing business.
  • Build Globe Life Benefits brand awareness and provide service support for the broker community.
  • Comply with all company, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Proactively foster positive relationships with clients to achieve a mutual understanding of and develop creative solutions to meet customer needs.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • 10+ years of managerial experience in client services or account management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large client services team.
  • Experience in developing and implementing client service strategies.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Salesforce software and other relevant technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a client services leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team to success.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving customer satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software.
  • Mastery level knowledge and understanding of voluntary and employee benefits markets (relationships, competitive intelligence, market process and direction, etc.).
  • Active listening and emotional intelligence.
  • Executive level negotiation skills required.
  • Requires ability to influence others outside of department on policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to lead and mentor a diverse team.
  • Team player: supports team priorities and motivates others to achieve mutual objectives, including both sales and risk targets.
  • Works well independently: set goals, manage time, measure and report progress, meet deadlines and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to close sales and support continued customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates well with operational resources to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction during and after the sales process.
  • Ability to work independently for significant periods of time.

Savings and Investment Plan (401K) - Eligible employees may begin participating in the plan on the first day of employment.

Pension Plan - Eligible employees who complete one year of service with the Company become participants in the Pension.* (Not available to Cleveland Employees)

Medical - Benefits are available to all eligible employees and qualified dependents the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Dental** and Vision - Eligible employees and qualified dependents are able to enroll the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).
