Role Overview:

Could you be our next Sr. Dir, Reporting, AI, and Analytics? Globe Life is looking for an experienced Sr. Dir, Reporting, AI, and Analytics to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering cross-functional reporting utilizing data analytics platforms that create strategic and transformational value for our clients, members, and Globe’s core business units with next gen data technologies.  The Director must be highly experienced with business processes, ROI and business case development, data visualization design, IT data architecture, AI methodologies across multiple cloud technologies and integrations of necessary risk controls.

 

As a leader of the team, the role is critical in crafting & leading data analytics strategy, target state, quick wins and deliver roadmaps to optimize project(s) value streams.  The leader will guide Globe Life to enable rapid expansion of data self-service capabilities (training, discovery, collaboration, partnership, and ecosystems) across the organization.  The leader will proactively seek out and sponsors process and technology improvements, reporting efficiencies, and partners with other IT & data teams to deliver new business value-added capabilities.  This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of AI, including Generative AI, to drive data-driven strategies and automation. The ideal candidate will excel in building strategies, defining requirements, and creating impactful visualizations. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

 

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking data and analytics strategy that enhances customer experience and drives business growth.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and define data requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Data Visualization: Create and oversee the development of compelling data visualizations that provide actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • AI and Automation: Leverage expertise in AI and Generative AI to drive innovation, strategy, and automation within the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure data initiatives align with overall business objectives. Socialize and build awareness of analytical capabilities across the organization.
  • Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, delivering clear and impactful presentations.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience building and maintaining BI applications and reporting management processes.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience leading technology teams.
  • Deep hands on experience with SQL, Tableau, AWS and/or other analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of AI, including Generative AI, and experience with data visualization tools and platforms.
  • Building products on a cloud-native micro-services architecture.
  • Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles, with special exposure to JIRA, and GitLab.
  • Familiar with large scale architecture design.
  • Knowledge of BI, ML and GenAI, and ability to integrate into analytics.
  • Strategic Thinker: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, with a track record of improving customer experiences through data-driven insights.
  • Deep understanding of data, business intelligence, and decision analytics, including full life-cycle development.
  • Experience with agile development tools, including Jira.
  • Ability to be hands-on, but also be a player-coach.
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels within the organization.
  • Financial service acumen & or experience to lead large cross functional initiatives and work with matric teams.

Savings and Investment Plan (401K) - Eligible employees may begin participating in the plan on the first day of employment.

Pension Plan - Eligible employees who complete one year of service with the Company become participants in the Pension.* (Not available to Cleveland Employees)

Medical - Benefits are available to all eligible employees and qualified dependents the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Dental** and Vision - Eligible employees and qualified dependents are able to enroll the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).
