Information Security Project Coordinator (Hybrid)

The Information Security Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with planning, documenting, executing, and finalizing departmental projects focused on assessing and reducing information security risk and to act as a liaison for interdepartmental projects within established deadlines. This includes creating project plans and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver work products according to plan, ensuring deadlines are met. This position will be involved with managing multiple projects, risk assessments, document management, deadline setting, and internal and external communications.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project plans to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate risk assessments.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, document meeting notes and action items, and ensure each action item is completed within established deadlines.
  • Maintain register of projects, exceptions, and risks and track each for overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  • Manage the Information Security operational calendar.
  • Ensure deadlines are met.
  • Report project risks and outcomes to manager.
  • Compile and report on program metrics.
  • Communicate with business and IT partners to gather information and obtain status updates.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with individuals and groups involved in managing information risks across the organization.
  • Maintain a repository of documentation in accordance with data retention guidelines.
  • Ensure current version of documents is available within the Information Security Intranet page.
  • Provide administrative support to team members
  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

 

 

Required Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail to track and maintain project documentation and records accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to maintain structured project documentation and schedules.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to adapt and learn new software quickly.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities while ensuring consistency and quality in work.
  • Communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously and to prioritize when faced with multiple deadlines.
  • Function in a collaborative environment, seeking consultation with other analysts and experts, both internal and external to the enterprise, to leverage analytical and technical expertise.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment processes and frameworks.

Required Knowledge & Experience

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Assurance or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to obtain. (Preferred)

Medical - Benefits are available to all eligible employees and qualified dependents the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Dental** and Vision - Eligible employees and qualified dependents are able to enroll the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
