Role Overview:

Could you be our next Senior Initiative Manager? Globe Life is looking for a Senior Initiative Manager to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for partnering and collaborating with Organizational Change Management (OCM) Committee Members, Executive & Program Sponsors, Change Champions, other Initiative Managers, Vendors, and others to support all initiative efforts. This individual will display role appropriate leadership, be proficient working in flexible work environments, models effective teamwork, and is successful within the Globe Life culture.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Senior Project Management level skills and activities commensurate with industry standards.
  • Change Management Practitioner level skills and skills commensurate with industry standards.
  • Utilizes OCM established methods, tools, and processes for Change Management and PMI standards for Initiative Management, adapting where necessary.
  • Assesses, coordinates, develops, and maintains a holistic and integrated strategy for initiatives across different work streams following the Globe Life OCM methods and standards.
  • Leads initiatives and adapts approaches, plans, and activities to align with executive sponsor expectations.
  • Engages and coaches team members on initiative and change management activities during initiative initiation, planning, execution, and closure including OCM activities on change strategy development, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, communication and engagement planning, adoption and sustainment plans, and effectiveness measures to support initiative success.
  • Partners with the initiative team to identify and develop OCM sustainment plans, activities, and additional sustainment requisites to successfully engage employees, licensed agents, and future owners in the new ways of working.
  • Influences and respectively challenges decision makers and the organization to create strategies for disruption, breakthroughs, transformation, and innovation and break down limiting barriers that could block the introduction of new ways of working.
  • Designs and facilitates change initiative management engagements to drive towards alignment and effective end outcomes.
  • Supports all ECM and OCM activities in maturing both the initiative and playbooks of processes, tools and templates.
  • Delivers a right-sized change management and initiative management strategies utilizing and following the established frameworks and standards.
  • Partners and collaborates with other Initiative Managers to organize and develop an initiative and change management schedule of deliverables, activities, and milestones. 
  • Coordinates, facilitates, drives, and leads all initiative and change management activities throughout the lifecycle. 
  • Partner and collaborate directly with Corporate Communications and Marketing and HR Training Teams to create and execute communications and training plans.
  • Provides initiative and change management consulting, coaching, and mentorship at all altitudes of the organization to help define the future state, promote awareness, assist with training all key factors to identify and overcome barriers to success.
  • As applicable, provides vendor management oversight, direction, and leadership for system or business integrators bringing change management into the Enterprise. 

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (BA), change management, a related field, or equivalent-related experience. MBA in IS or other master’s degree preferred.
  • 7 - 10 years of Change Management experience with professional certification (Prosci or CCMP).
  • 7 - 10 years of Initiative Management experience with professional certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience applying organization effectiveness and change management expertise, including stakeholder management, leadership alignment, communications, engagement, and change impact assessment.
  • Experience implementing ERP or other large-scale digital systems along with large business process changes.
  • Significant experience in effectively planning, organizing, and developing coordinated stakeholder management, change management, and communications to achieve business outcomes across a program or portfolio of initiatives, including designing and facilitating working sessions, workshops, and/or other types of engagements, both live and virtual.
  • Articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, ensuring transparent and open communication channels throughout the change process. 
  • Excel at tailoring messages to diverse stakeholders, fostering engagement, and mitigating resistance by articulating the rationale and benefits of the change initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through active listening, empathy, and the ability to inspire confidence, thereby promoting a positive change culture within the organization.
  • Proven expertise in leading and facilitating meetings, creating an environment conducive to collaboration, decision-making, and actionable outcomes.
  • Possess advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities in meeting management to ensure meetings are purposeful and well-organized and contribute to achieving the change management goals and desired outcomes.
  • High level of competency in using and leveraging the Microsoft Office Suite of products to enhance productivity, communication, and collaboration. 
  • High level competency in initiative management methodology, standards, and processes.
  • High level competency in organizational change management (OCM) to include but not limited to strategic planning, task and timeline management, resource allocation, risk assessment and mitigation communication, and stakeholder management problem-solving, quality assurance, and adaptability and flexibility.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving by swiftly addressing conflicts, removing roadblocks, and taking decision action to ensure initiative momentum. 
  • Self-directed leader who values collaboration to contribute to a positive team dynamic, with a focus on continuous improvement and resource optimization.
  • Able to stand up a new function, identifying main processes and building them out.
  • Proactive, able to identify recommendations and then implement solutions
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to persuade and effectuate change regardless of title.
  • Works openly and effectively with leaders to communicate ideas, collaborate, request help and problem solve
  • Strategy focused, able to converse not only in technical terms but in business terms as well.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership, contributing to your function and the organization.
  • Able to present oneself professionally and effectively with leadership, stakeholders and peers.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, proven ability to work independently with limited supervision, ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with competing deadlines.

  • Reliable attendance and consistent work performance.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

Savings and Investment Plan (401K) - Eligible employees may begin participating in the plan on the first day of employment.

Pension Plan - Eligible employees who complete one year of service with the Company become participants in the Pension.* (Not available to Cleveland Employees)

Medical - Benefits are available to all eligible employees and qualified dependents the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).
