Role Overview:

Could you be our next Director, GRC Strategy & Admin? Globe Life is looking for a Director, GRC Strategy & Admin to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for working as a shared service for the second line of defense departments in their mission to pursue a compliance and risk aligned culture compliant with the integrated risk management strategy forwarded by Enterprise Risk Management. This leader is key to the long-term success of the regulatory compliance, information security, consumer privacy, and risk management goals of the company by setting the GRC strategy with the stakeholder departments and operationalizing that strategy through the GRC application. This role is key to satisfying the governance and oversight requirements of the company. This position requires a strong understanding of GRC products, GRC processes like regulatory change management, organizational change management and program management.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with second line leaders in departments like Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, and Regulatory Compliance and Information Technology.
  • Support the Company’s policy acknowledgement process, Third-Party Risk Program, Regulatory Change Management Program, etc.
  • Work with IT to build and maintain the Company’s GRC software to manage the organizations risk assessments, Compliance Action Plans, and align the governance with known frameworks from standards organizations like ISO and NIST.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in Governance, Risk and Compliance and/or Integrated Risk Management.
  • Strong program management skills and the ability to hold others accountable for deliverables to ensure program plan timelines are met.
  • Support ongoing development, updating and refinement of the Company’s GRC application.
  • Participate in quarterly reviews with stakeholder to evaluate program metrics and measures.
  • Generate key metrics, reporting and dashboards on a consistent basis for relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • BA/BS required in business, information systems or related field.
  • 7+ years relevant experience in the financial services industry or related field.
  • Related work experience could include GRC platforms.
  • Understanding of ERM standards a plus (i.e., specifically New York Department of Financial Services).
  • 5-7 years of training, awareness and culture initiatives.
  • Ability to operate as a self-motivated, pro-active, and result-driven problem solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand Marketing, HR, Risk Management, and Regulatory Compliance cultural objectives.
  • Experience in IT governance and controls, including governance framework.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Customer oriented mindset with a drive to deliver high quality results.
  • Solid technical skills in the use of Microsoft desktop tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
