Globe Life Family Heritage Division is made up to agents from all walks of life and professional backgrounds. We’re proud to kick-start the careers of new agents with Sales Academy, a series of courses led by veterans of the industry.

Whether you’re new to insurance sales or a seasoned seller, we offer comprehensive, interactive sales training based on time-tested formulas of direct sales excellence unmatched by other companies. Our Sales Academy teaches and shares business skills to ensure a successful start to your career. You will learn our sales systems that our most successful sales professionals use, including:

A trainer will meet you in the classroom at 1:00 pm on Monday. A sign will be posted in the lobby of the hotel with the name of the classroom.

Monday 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm CST.
Tuesday - Wednesday 8:00 am - 9:00 pm CST.
Thursday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm CST.

6:30 pm - 9:00 pm each evening will be class or self-study.

During Sales Academy all rooms will be double occupancy - you will be sharing a room. (Please note, however, that double occupancy is not guaranteed should another student cancel or postpone their trip.) If you would like to be guaranteed a single room (room alone) you must notify us before Sales Academy. Upon check-in you will need to make payment for half (1/2) the room charge directly to the hotel. You must have a credit card to guarantee charges. No exceptions will be made. Please note that the hotel plus tax, airfare and/or mileage are your responsibility and will be charged to your representative statement of account. The charges will be offset by your sales production as an additional bonus to your normal commission. (See your manager for details.)

Check-in at the front desk once you arrive at the hotel. You will be required by the hotel to present a credit card at check-in for your incidentals (if you do not have a credit card, a $25 deposit will be required). You are responsible to settle all incidental charges directly with the hotel upon checkout. Check-in time is 3:00 pm. If you are arriving in the morning you will need to store your luggage with the bellman until your room is ready. Your hotel room is guaranteed. If you are scheduled to arrive on Sunday and are unable to make it, please contact the hotel and cancel your reservation for Sunday night, otherwise you will be charged for Sunday night. Both hotels are SMOKE FREE.

Dress Code

For Men: Shirts that have collars, such as long-sleeve button down shirts, polo shirts. Pants such as khakis, dress pants, trousers and corduroy pants. Shoes dress shoes. No Jeans or Athletic wear.

For women: Shirts, blouses, sweaters, turtlenecks and vests are all Acceptable. Pants such as khakis, corduroy pants, or dress pants. Skirts/Dresses "Knee-length" No Jeans or Athletic wear.

*Thursday is a casual day as it is a travel/departure day.

Fundamental Interactive Training

"Fundamental Interactive Training" is an online and on demand learning management system. Important notice: Prior to your arrival to Sales Academy please click on the link and register for access to FIT.

Registration will provide you with information to help better prepare you for Sales Academy: CLICK HERE and follow the instructions to login and access the required Onboarding/Pre-Sales Academy intro course. (During enrollment you will need to note your Agency Owners name, which was provided in your confirmation email.)

Bring Your Travel Information

If you are driving, print the directions and map to the hotel. If you are flying, make sure you have your ticket or e-ticket verification and airport shuttle information.

Money For Your Expenses

Your hotel lodging (plus tax), airfare and/or mileage are your responsibility and will be charged to your Representative Statement of Account. This charge will be offset by your sales production as an additional bonus to your normal commission. However, you will need to bring enough money to pay for your meals ($20-$30 per day) and other travel expenses.

Materials to Bring to Class

Bring a TABLET or LAPTOP in addition to your SMART PHONE as they will be used for training purposes.

Bring a PEN OR PENCIL and a NOTEBOOK to write on.

A Large Enough Suitcase

You wil be given sales materials and supplies during Sales Academy that will need to be carried back with you. Please be prepared for this when you are deciding which suitcase to bring! Make sure you have room for 2 binders (each approximately 2 inches thick) and assorted supplies and materials.

A: If you are flying, when you land, make sure to call the hotel and request shuttle service from the airport. Shuttle services are free (consider gratuity). Look for areas marked “Shuttle Pick Up” or “Courtesy Pickup”

*Dallas, you will need to collect your luggage and contact the hotel for transportation to the hotel. The Shuttles run every hour on the hour. You will be picked up curbside from the lower level outside your airport gate. Look for a white and green shuttle marked Wyndham Garden.

*Nashville, you will need to collect your luggage and contact the hotel for transportation to the hotel. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. Look for the white shuttle marked Radisson

* If you are driving, be sure to know directions to the hotel prior to departure. Keep in mind that while driving you may encounter unexpected traffic or construction delays. Please allow for enough time to be early and to account for any unexpected delays. There is no charge for parking at the hotel.

Q: What do I need to do once I arrive at the hotel?

Check-in any time after 3:00 p.m. If you are arriving in the morning, you will need to store your luggage with the bellman until your room is ready. Your hotel room is guaranteed; if you are scheduled for arrival at the hotel and cannot make it, please cancel with the hotel or you will be charged for the first night of your scheduled stay. If you do not have a credit card, a $25 deposit will be required at check-in or the hotel will turn off any additions. You are responsible to settle all incidental charges directly with the hotel upon checkout.

Q: Will I have a roommate?

A: During Sales Academy all rooms will be double occupancy – you will be sharing a room with a gender appropriate roommate. Please note that double occupancy is not guaranteed should another student cancel or postpone their trip. If you would like to be guaranteed a single room (room alone) you must notify the Sales Department BEFORE Sales Academy. If you want a single room, you will then be responsible to pay for ½ the room charge to the hotel upon check-in. You must have a credit card to guarantee charges if you want a single room. No exceptions will be made. Please note that the hotel plus tax, and airfare are your responsibility and will be charged to your representative statement of account. No family members or guests are permitted to stay with you if they are not attending Sales Academy.

Q: What is the appropriate attire while attending Sales Academy?

Q: Will there be breaks throughout the day?

A: Yes, there will be multiple 10-15 min. breaks throughout the day as well as 1 hour for both lunch/dinner

Q: What is the tobacco use policy during Sales Academy?

A: Use of tobacco products or electronic devices during class or in the hotel is prohibited. There will multiple breaks throughout the day where smoking in appropriate areas is permitted.

Q: What is the meal schedule/cost during Sales Academy?

DALLAS Breakfast - Free Continental Breakfast (Danish, Muffins, or Bagels) in meeting room 30 minutes prior to the start of class. Lunch- $8.95 Special discounted lunch buffet at the hotel restaurant (salad bar, soup, entrees, sides, dessert, etc.). Dinner- A Free specially prepared dinner buffet will be provided (salad, entrée, sides, and dessert).

NASHVILLE Breakfast - Upon check-in you will receive vouchers for free breakfast options at the hotel restaurant each morning Lunch-You will provided with a special 15% discount at the hotel restaurant Dinner- A Free specially prepared dinner buffet will be provided (salad, entrée, sides, and dessert).

A: Be sure to notify Michelle Foster (contact information is located at the top of this page) so accommodations can be made where possible.

Q: What studying do I need to do before attending Sales Academy?

A: Be sure to memorize Sales Academy Specific (C2C or B2B) approaches before coming to Sales Academy and register for FIT as instructed in the email and also take Sales Appraoaches before the “Welcome to Globe Life Family Heritage Division” course with video from Globe Life Family Heritage Division president Ken Matson, CEO Agency Division.
