Role Overview:
Could you be our next Security Manager of Executive Protection? Globe Life is looking for a Security Manager of Executive Protection to join the team!
This role is responsible for focusing on developing and managing Executive Protection programs. These include, but is not limited to, management of the armed and unarmed guard forces, security design, perform threat assessments, travel planning, secure transportation, and medical support while maintaining discretion, physical access control, surveillance systems, at-risk executive protection, and incident response. Additionally, collaboration with stakeholders in HR and IT Security on holistic identity management.
This is an on-site position located in McKinney, Texas.
What You Will Do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the client’s lifestyle, travel, and professional activities.
- Provide physical protection at residences, workplaces, and public events.
- Map secure routes, inspecting venues in advance, and coordinating logistics with local authorities.
- Drive clients using defensive and evasive tactics.
- Utilize counter-surveillance to identify potential threats or hostile surveillance.
- Providing initial medical care in an emergency if necessary.
- Oversee armed and unarmed guard force according to risk management priorities.
- Monitor and maintain SLAs for 3rd party protection contractors.
- Direct investigations related to Executive Protection incidents as they occur and recommend policy changes to prevent a recurrence.
- Design and direct protection services for special events on/off Company property.
- Monitor and direct Emergency Response operational plans and related activities, as required.
- Coordinate security requirements and participate in planning events.
- Conduct gap analysis of current capabilities to accepted standards and make recommendations to management regarding ways to mitigate risk.
- Advise the Director, Personnel Security as a subject matter expert and help prepare for executive steering committee and board discussion on physical threat identification and mitigation.
- Other duties assigned as necessitated by identified threats, incident management, changes to the threat profile of The Company, or changes to Company strategy.
What You Can Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military and/or law enforcement experience.
- Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or similar credentials.
- Law Enforcement Certifications/Training
- 20+ years of progressive experience in the field of security.
- Experience in law enforcement, military, or specialized private security
- Previous experience with various tiers of guard services capabilities.
- Previous experience with various access control, personnel vetting, and surveillance technologies is required.
- A thorough understanding of guard operations is essential.
- Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate both in written and verbal forms.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers, clients, partners and corporate executives.
- Highly trained in security tactics, surveillance detection, and emergency response.
- Strong situational awareness, effective communication, crisis management, and discretion.
- Ability to work long hours, weekend/evening work, and extensive travel, including internationally.
- Must be flexible and maintain a positive “can do” attitude.
- Ability to remain professional and cool headed in high pressure situations
