Role Overview:

Could you be our next Product Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Product Analyst to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in the development of the technical ecosystem that fall under their purview.  The Product Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with the business needs.  Using data and insights to guide product improvements, this role ensures products meet the business stakeholders’ expectations. The role involves gathering and analyzing product data, defining requirements, and supporting the product development lifecycle from inception to launch. They work under the direction of their Business Technology Leader and the Product Manager.

 

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, Texas (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
  • Work closely with product managers, scrum teams, and business stakeholders to drive product success.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of business requirements, business process models (current and future state), and solutions for the entire ecosystem.
  • Propose and contribute to the design of technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
  • Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Ensure the requirements that span multiple scrum teams are managed and accounted for.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Work with developers, QA engineers, and business teams to ensure product features are implemented according to specifications.
  • Participate in validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
  • Work in Jira, as needed, to ensure cards are appropriately created.
  • Work with Scrum teams, as needed, by the direction of the Product Manager
  • Conduct competitive analysis and research emerging technologies to provide insights and recommendations for product innovation.
  • Track and update Business Tech Leader and Product Manager on bugs and production issues.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and assist with data collection and reporting to evaluate success metrics.
  • Work with InfoSec, Privacy, Data Governance, Solution Architect, Procurement as needed for new intake requests that require further evaluation.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst or in a related role.
  • Experience in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and product management tools and techniques (e.g.,JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with IT development processes and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
