Role Overview:

Could you be our next Customer Care – Group Billing Specialist I? Globe Life is looking for a Customer Care – Group Billing Specialist I to join the team!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for all billing processes which includes overseeing payments for customers’ accounts. Duties include processing payments for all policyholders and businesses accounts with keeping organized financial records and reporting; answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers to answer questions and process request while maintaining expert knowledge of department functions and processing guidelines. The Group Billing Specialist is also responsible for managing daily workflow and supports the department with various functions.

 

This is an on-site position located in Broadview Heights, OH.

 

What You Will Do:

·       Assist with managing daily workflow and preparation of all incoming payments including the reconciliation and posting of all payments with high attention to detail and accuracy, and scan checks for daily deposit to bank.   

·       Post and reconcile all payment detail at the end of each day. 

·       Answers and return calls from policyholders, agents, and group contacts effectively and professionally, and processes all request in a timely manner.

·       Follow up on delinquent groups by communicating with the payroll contact, agent and agency owner by phone and email to obtain payment.  

·       Investigate and respond to premium transaction disputes and bank return items.

·       Watch for trends, issues, or potential fraud along with assisting with agent practice investigation.

·       Assists with complaint research, follow-up, and resolution.

·       Complete assigned projects and courses in the planned timeframe.

 

What You Can Bring:

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       2 - 5 years customer service and finance experience required.

·       A high level of integrity, confidentiality, flexibility, and support of management is always expected.

·       Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

·       Excellent problem-solving and mathematical skills.

·       Positive and helpful attitude.

·       Individual must be a team player and be able to work independently.

·       Excellent organization and time management skills.

·       Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of accuracy.

·       Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel required.
