Role Overview:
Could you be our next Administrative Services team member? Globe Life is looking for an Administrative Services professional to join the team!
This position is responsible for researching, locating, and providing information pertaining to industrial burial insurance policies to ensure compliance with state unclaimed property and escheat laws, as well as a long-standing class action lawsuit. The role also includes fielding telephone calls from insureds, family members, funeral homes, and providing assistance to Globe Life's records department.
This is an on-site position located in Birmingham, Alabama.
What You Will Do:
- Research and provide documentation for more than 10,000 policy numbers annually to comply with state unclaimed property and escheat laws.
- Review and retrieve information from "old" and "new" change files stored in paper form in filing cabinets.
- Research policy applications stored on microfilm.
- Review various computer screens including BI01, AU01, and OnBase systems.
- Research "Folio" change files and "Title" change files as circumstances require.
- Respond to information requests from Globe Life departments, customers, and Authorized Funeral Directors regarding specific burial insurance policies.
- Research policy registers to determine whether and when specific burial policies have lapsed or been surrendered for cash value.
- Field telephone calls from insureds, family members, and funeral homes.
- Provide requested assistance to Globe Life's records department.
- Ensure all research and documentation activities maintain full compliance with class action lawsuit requirements.
What You Can Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of experience in records management, research, or administrative support preferred.
- Experience with insurance policies or financial services industry a plus.
- Experience with microfilm research systems is beneficial.
- Strong research and investigative skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and databases (BI01, AU01, OnBase).
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting microfilm records.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing paper filing systems.
