Globe Life Insurance Company is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team in the Sales Support UA department for our corporate location in McKinney, Texas.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with project team members on all phases of initiatives.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Collaborates with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical and project goals.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Monitors milestone completion, tracks all phases of the project product/service life-cycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking requests.
  • Conducts project meetings, meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverable and deadlines, and meets with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products.
  • Consulting role with business units in developing user acceptance test plans and procedures for end user testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and I.T.
  • Facilitate meetings for all levels of the organization.
  • Provides status updates and reporting on assigned projects.
  • Supports business transition and helps establish change.
  • Responsible for conducting interview sessions to understand the current state business and data process.
  • Document processes utilizing flow diagram tools i.e. Visio

Required Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Must be able to see the big picture while having an exceptionally detail-oriented focus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with experience in meeting deadlines
  • Experience managing multiple projects with ability to make changes when needed
  • Experience working in both a team and individual environment
  • Experience working with senior decision makers
  • Strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Intermediate-Advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Intermediate-Advanced proficiency with Flowcharts
  • Experience in business and data mapping process lifecycle
  • Basic SQL knowledge a plus
  • Basic Tableau knowledge a plus
  • Salesforce knowledge a plus

Required Knowledge & Experience

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Information Systems (IS), Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years hands on Visio experience
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
  • 5+ years working in a corporate office

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for many of the health care expenses not covered by your medical plan including deductibles and co-pays. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contribution to HSA ($4500 family, $2500 single plans)

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
