Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse Inventory Associate

Globe Life And Accident is seeking a full time Warehouse Inventory Associate for the Warehouse Department at our Oklahoma City production facility.

Job Summary
A Warehouse/Inventory Associate, keeps track of the goods and supplies in a warehouse, moves goods and supplies within different Warehouses with a Forklift, manages orders for production, and uses a computer for internal and external tasks. Their duties include shipping and receiving goods, counting the number of available products, and keeping an accurate inventory of products. They are responsible for varied daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory, loading/unloading of trucks, and ensuring orders are received/shipped in a timely manner.

Primary duties & responsibilities consist of:
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will do daily Physical counts of the Roll Stock Paper in the Warehouse/Pressroom and enter information into the online inventory system.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will do daily Physical counts of the Cut Sheet Paper in the Warehouse to determine the next reorder point.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will wrap Pallets using the Wrapping Machine, to be shipped to Waco
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will receive and sign for incoming material from outside vendors and check for quality of the boxes/pieces and ensure that the proper quantity was received in comparison to packing list.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will prepare pallets and other items to be shipped out to various locations within Globe and outside of Globe companies.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will load pallets of material and items onto trailers to be shipped out to various locations.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will prepare shipping documents for material to be shipped out from the GMS location.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will perform the weekly watering duties of all Forklift batteries.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will remove bales from baler, weigh the said bales and load the paper bales onto resale trailer using a Forklift.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will receive shipments of paper rolls and scan these into the Paper Inventory System as needed.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will transfer paper rolls from the warehouse to the pressroom floor (and vice versa) from the Paper Inventory System.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will reconcile the Paper Inventory counts in the Paper Inventory System on an as needed basis.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will sweep/clean the Warehouse floors as needed when there is downtime.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will work with proper staff to deep clean warehouse floors using a floor scrubbing machine as needed.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will fix, repair or change damaged warehouse racking as needed.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will enter newly received products/pallets/material and data enter these into the Receiving Log on the network/computer as needed.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will check for, respond to and compose new emails as needed.
• The Warehouse/Inventory Associate will be pulling paper orders and other raw materials for requesting departments inside of Globe Marketing Services.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Must have 2-4 years of General Computer Skills.
  • Must have 2-4 years of MS Office Product skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have good Oral, Written, and Computer Communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write in a neat and accurate manner.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and duties in a timely manner.
  • Regular & predictable attendance required.
  • Ability to work a full time position.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
  • Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying

Required Knowledge & Experience

Education & Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must have 3-5 years of Forklift Experience.
  • Must have 3-5 years of Warehouse Experience.
  • Must have 3-5 years of Inventory Experience.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to stand, bend, kneel for prolong periods of time.
  • Production facility environment.
  • Fast-paced atmosphere.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for many of the health care expenses not covered by your medical plan including deductibles and co-pays. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contribution to HSA ($4500 family, $2500 single plans)

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).
