Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • The Data Visualization Center of Enablement is part of Enterprise Transformation Dept. at Globe Life, driving data strategy, enabling the business organization to self-serve analytics, increasing adoption, and developing a governance model.
  • Provide the framework for creating the trusted, certified data sources, and dashboards based on a best-in-class visualization standards. We enable technical and functional knowledge through best practices, guidelines, processes, and enablement.
  • We are looking for a Data Visualization CoE Manager to establish Tableau data visualization methodologies, administer content and user operations, deliver enablement & training, and lead a team of analysts to deliver the vision for data visualization. A successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about data, visualization, enablement, data governance. A candidate must collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to provide solution & enablement for Tableau adoption.
  • The best fitting candidate has superior analytical skills, a strong knowledge of the business intelligence domain, strong communication skills.


• Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including data engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to support analytical development, measuring impact, and adoption.
• Develop and communicate the analytical vision, roadmap, present enablement/knowledge base to stakeholders.
• Expand the internal Tableau User Group community by hosting user groups, office hours and competitions.
• Regularly assess and improve performance of Team in such areas as job knowledge, technical skills, productivity, accountability, quality, initiative, innovation, drive, working relationships, communications, leadership, and alignment with the Globe Life data strategy
• Develop, improve, and maintain standardized solutions that support the Tableau data visualization community to deliver solutions faster.
• A focus will be on implementing a common Row Level Security (RLS) model for Tableau. Leadership:
• Leading team of Data Visualization analysts to successfully onboard, setup governance, and provide enablement for Tableau teams.
• Lead Tableau governance of certified content (data source and workbook) best practices, and content design.
• Deliver centralized operation to the Tableau development community, focusing on user management, content lifecycle management, publishing content, onboarding new teams, and auditing.
• Identify manual processes in governance and onboarding in order to design automated solution.
• Development of enablement material, starter tools or templates for process and drive adoption of best practices.
• Connecting with customers to understand user stories and personas. Advocate and implement design thinking during each engagement.
• Understand the typical features and steps for presentation, enablement, knowledge article, process, etc. to coach the team on how to break down the work.

Required Skills

• Experience working with Tableau or similar data visualization tool; Tableau certifications are a plus.
• Exposure to scripting language like PowerShell, automation experience, and writing database queries in SQL.
• Experience with data management, data governance, and/or business process architecture.
• Experience working with Row Level Security (RLS) and entitlements is a plus.
• Understand customer needs to develop a backlog and ensure product completeness
• Meet business goals by developing value and creating feasible and sustainable products and solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical analysis to a broad variety of audiences including business executives
• Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
• Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying

Required Knowledge & Experience

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Tableau, SQL Server, AWS preferred
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience of Customer Management role collaborating to derive requirements and, roadmap.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in analytics, engineer, product management, and/or operations role.
• Minimum 1+ years of people management experience.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for many of the health care expenses not covered by your medical plan including deductibles and co-pays. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contribution to HSA ($4500 family, $2500 single plans)

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
