Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary


The Department Imaging Scanning Clerk is responsible for scanning NB, Military, and Part D applications as well as various claims and correspondence documents into Onbase Client and Teleform scanning applications. The incumbent is also responsible for the shredding and disposal of aged documents for new incoming work. This position serves as back up to Prep and Pull’s clerks, and is responsible for the completion of various reporting.  Responsible for cleaning and maintaining of scanning machinery.



Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Scanning of New Business, Military and Part D application in Onbase Client application and Teleform scanning application
  • Scanning of Life Claims, Medicare and other various documents in Onbase Client and Datacap scanning applications
  • Prep lead cards to be scanned into OnBase
  • Index appropriate keywords for Lead Cards, Customer Service Correspondence, and various other documents
  • Index appropriate keywords for a variety of Claims documents
  • Sort Lead Cards for scanning
  • Prep Lead Card Rejects for Data Entry
  • Print and label Lead Card batches for scanning
  • Complete and execute reports to be sent to various departments
  • Deliver various types of work to multiple areas of the department
  • Maintain high degree of quality control and validation of completed work
  • Meet and/or exceed established standards for productivity and quality
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA standards
  • Provide backup support to Prep and Pull’s clerks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Education & Work Experience required


  • High school diploma required
  • Previous document imaging experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Onbase Client a plus
  • Knowledge of Teleform applications a plus

Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
