Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Remote Incontestable Examiner I position - Globe Life - Downtown Oklahoma City

Globe Life  is seeking a full time Incontestable Examiner I position supporting the Examiners Life GLB department in their Downtown Oklahoma City location.  This is a remote position offering a competitive salary and great benefits.

Summary

The Incontestable Examiner I reviews all aspects of an incontestable claim and determines how to process.  High exposure to a multitude of life claims is a norm for this position.  Analyst I needs to be able to identify claim benefits in regards to the specific policy and operates on multiple claims systems.  Life Claims are received from medical reviewers, underwriting, examiners or mail clerks.  The Examiner I has a checklist of approximately 15 items to review before the claim can progress for further processing.  Some of these items include; performing a name search to see if the insured has additional coverage, reinstating a policy if it has already been removed from the system, requesting various types of letters, reviewing application date versus effective date of policy. The Incontestable Analyst I also determines if certain policies should be investigated by external third parties (i.e., the International Claims Service).  Once the Analyst I makes a claim determination, they forward the claim onto the examiner, supervisory, or manager.  An Incontestable Examiner I is responsible for keeping a claim moving through the processing procedures, and will forward problem claims to the contestable Analyst. Incontestable Analyst I is in contact with agents, funeral homes, coroners, actuarial, and policy owner services to gather and confirm information in regards to the claim. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reviews all policies outside of the two-year review window (incontestable) and processes in accordance with policy provisions and Company procedures.
• Processes claims on a multiple claims system.
• Contacts outside 3rd parties and obtains additional claim information needed.  Third parties consist of agents, beneficiaries, funeral homes, and coroners,
• Updates system notes with claim progress.
• Provides updates to beneficiary regarding claim progress.
• Responsible for claim movement and progression.
• Maintains production data and must meet the production quota set by the department.
• Other duties; as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Education & Work Experience Required

• High School Diploma
• Work experience in a production environment
• Previous data entry a plus
• Previous insurance industry and claims handling experience a plus.

Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
