Role Overview:

Could you be our next SEO Analyst? Globe Life is looking for an SEO Analyst to join the team! 

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out, analyzing, and executing SEO activities for Globe Life and Globe Life Division websites as well as other online assets. 

The role includes creating, optimizing, monitoring, and reporting on search engine performance of websites and other digital assets managed by the digital marketing department. The SEO Analyst will attend strategy meetings for creation/redesign of web properties and provide SEO input and perspective. 

Other responsibilities include researching and maintaining keywords, writing metadata and metatags for web properties, contributing to landing pages and articles, optimizing and maintain local business listings, agency websites and location databases, researching and building 3rd party and internal links, managing SEO tools, as well as working closely with designers, PPC specialists, campaign strategists, developers, and content writers to ensure a successful digital marketing strategy.

The candidate will also remain educated and informed on emerging trends and strategies within the world of SEO.

 

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

 

What You Will Do:

  • Content SEO – conduct keyword/topic research, manage article workflows, optimize articles, QA SEO elements, write schema, work with content writers on article improvement strategy, and report on article performance.
  • Website Optimization – provide website on-page SEO that includes metadata development, content optimization, redirect management, optimization for search engine crawling and indexation, and internal link management.
  • SEO Linking – pursue off-page SEO linking opportunities from 3rd parties to meet ranking and traffic goals, manage company/brand Wikipedia pages and Google Knowledge Panels.
  • Local Listing Management – contribute to the creation of local agency digital assets for marketing and SEO including the building and management of directories, creation and optimization of Google Business Profiles and Apple Map locations, as well as the setup of location websites. This will involve setup, verification, updates and closure of locations, SEO optimization, metric tracking, posting and Q&A management.
  • Site Auditing – perform regular SEO audits of company websites to identify SEO challenges and areas for improvement. This includes on-page, off-page, local, and technical elements as well as Core Web Vitals performance. 
  • Analysis and Reporting – monitor company web and offsite digital assets for progress toward ranking and organic traffic goals and providing reports and analysis explaining organic traffic trends.
  • Education – read SEO blogs and periodicals, attend conferences, continue education to ensure the company and its properties align with cutting edge web search trends. Monitor algorithm updates and their impact on Globe Life digital assets.

 

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing, Web Design, Web Development or similar field or equivalent.
  • Must have 3-4 years’ experience in local, content, on-page and off-page SEO.
  • At least 1 year experience working with enterprise-level websites.
  • At least 2 years’ experience conducting full-site SEO audits.
  • Practical knowledge of hardware, software and analytics tools including:
  • Microsoft Office suite (with a minimum of intermediate-level Excel skills).
  • Google Analytics/GA4 (Certification preferred).
  • Google Search Console & Bing Webmaster Tools.
  • MOZ or similar SEO software.
  • Screaming Frog or similar scanning tools.
  • SEO related HTML tags.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Business Profiles.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and online communication skills.
  • Comfortable with project management processes and working within project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple large and complex projects using time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High motivation, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and competitive mindset.
  • Additional skills that are nice to have but not required:
  • Familiarity with website design and development best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager.
  • Google Looker Studio experience.
  • Experience with Wikipedia editing protocols.
  • Familiarity with Kentico CMS.
  • Insurance industry experience and knowledge of insurance regulations.

Savings and Investment Plan (401K) - Eligible employees may begin participating in the plan on the first day of employment.

Pension Plan - Eligible employees who complete one year of service with the Company become participants in the Pension.* (Not available to Cleveland Employees)

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Our FSA has two components, Health Care and Dependent Care Accounts. These accounts allow employees to set aside a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis to cover out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses. Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - A pre-tax Health Spending Account (HSA) is offered to those who enroll in the High Deductible Plan. It allows you to pay for health care expenses. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.
