Bilingual Video Editor

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Video Editor creates compelling stories through video and motion graphics. Stories that make people care and engage on a personal level. The Video Editor is responsible for creating motion graphics, assembling raw footage, sound files, graphics, and other assets to create a completed film. Once created, the Video Editor is responsible for obtaining proper approvals and delivering the various versions of the project for distribution in their proper formats. The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about storytelling and can combine assets into beautiful narratives. Strong motion graphic skills a plus. This person will also have bilingual (Spanish) skills and utilize those to help grow our multicultural base through video.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Edit and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects
  • Edit footage and sound files, capturing/importing media, writing scripts, organizing raw media, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Collect assets for project resources.
  • Maintain subscription services for stock libraries.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients, team members, and the marketing department to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Archive assets for long term storage
  • Maintain project status in project management software
  • Communicate edit needs and schedule
  • Adhere to branding guidelines for all areas of video
  • Oversee creation of project specific freelance talent such as voice-overs, motion graphics, and other media as assigned.
  • Manage video library and distribution of content
  • Assist with video shoots when warranted by the project

 

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Expertise in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other media production software
  • Strong motion graphic design and creation (i.e. After Effects, Cinema 4D, etc.)
  • Experience with professional video gear (Canon Cinema cameras, lighting systems, field audio recording systems)
  • Audio experience with compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing
  • Post-production video editing, motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms
  • Create narratives from footage that inspires and calls others to action
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and an aptitude for making quick, quality decisions
  • Must be highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Professional demeanor, yet great sense of humor

 

Required Knowledge & Experience

Education & Work Experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast, Telecommunications, or video production from four-year college or university.
  • Must have 5 years of professional video production experience.
  • A showcase reel demonstrating end products and identifying role served for productions
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Must be able to learn new technologies and become a power user.

Participation is elected on a calendar year basis and is available to all eligible employees the first of the month following the completion of 30 days of continuous service. Company contributes to HSA.

Short-Term Disability - Eligible employees may be entitled to salary continuance during periods of temporary disability. Benefits are based on employee status and years of service.*

Group Life and Long-Term Disability** - Eligible employees may elect life insurance and long-term disability coverage the first of the month following 30 days of continuous service.

Vacation and Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible for vacation upon the completion of six months of employment. In addition, the Company offers eight paid holidays.

Education Assistance - The Company supports employees who wish to continue their education to secure increased responsibility and growth within their professional careers. We offer a reimbursement program for expenses incurred through approved institutions of learning. In addition, Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) and International Claim Association (ICA) program courses are offered after the completion of six months of services at no cost to the employee.

Fitness Reimbursement - Eligible employees are able to receive up to 100% reimbursement for monthly dues (employee only).

Supplemental Plans** - Cancer, Heart/Stroke, Accident.
